On Tuesday night I returned from a great APBT breed show organized by the ADBA Club Italia to celebrate its 25th anniversary. This in itself shows how much the teams of friends and associates, centered around the charismatic and brilliant president of this club, Luigi Bezzi, managed to create creatively and sustain for such a long time! I’ve known Luigi for about a some year longer than that, it’s unbelievable how time flies for us “teenagers” from star dog athletes and one day it really will run away forever 🫢
Thank you for the invitation to judge a great and prestigious exhibition together with ADBA president Hank Greenwood, whom I was happy to welcome to Europe after the long “pandemic” break. The competition with the number of dogs was huge, the exterior quality lacked the petals of at least one flower, but it was a pleasure to see all of you, including the new faces with your dog’s paws, again in the show ring and to please only a few with the order of winners!
I thank all the organizers for the work that I know very well and I have not forgotten it and most of all as a judge and admirer of real bulldogs I thank all of you who came from all over Europe and showed your dogs to a great extent, by which you really support the club, the big ADBA family and especially the breed itself in its difficult journey from the history of the struggle for life to the future!
I would love to see you again, somewhere else, sometime next time.
And remember, the blood and bloodlines are very important, as well as their health, performance, stamina, determination, bravery, beauty and intelligence with a willingness to work so well with man, but most importantly, all these canine athletes, helpers and soldiers they felt the love of a person to whom they essentially belong.
Our love for them, for dogs, who are so often not just a dog for me 😎
